It’s probably obvious by now that jewellery really speaks to my heart….the gypsy in me is beyond excited by all the creative energy and love that goes into each piece. With the holidays almost upon us, and our families across the country and seas, I am feeling rather nostalgic these past few days. If life has taught me anything, it’s to say all that you want to say right away. Never wait. There might not be another day. Where to start…there are just so many wonderful things to say about the The Nest Hair Boutique. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it. For all those woman who walk to the beat of their own drum, you will absolutely LOVE it! Based in Perth, this one of a kind boutique salon is run by owner and inspirational entrepreneur Charlie Crothers. It oozes style, character, charm and bohemian chic. It’s a hidden local gem, just like that amazing cafe down that little back alley that you don’t want to tell anyone about. What struck me most about this space was it’s relaxed feel and positive radiant energy. Decked out in white washed wood, handmade candles, unique giftware, and amazing products exclusive to their salon, The Nest is in a league of their own. This beautiful environment draws you into the moment and brings you an uplifting experience that is so far removed from your every day hair salon. From the moment I entered I melted into the chair and felt so calm and serene. I had such a great time chatting, laughing and connecting with the inspirational stylists who work there. It was such an overall pampering experience and I left feeling happier than ever.
And I haven’t even got to telling you all about the hair yet! These stylists so know what they are doing! I was actually feeling a little down beforehand about the breakage I was experiencing from frequent colouring. Since having my hair done at the Nest boutique I haven’t had any new breakage and my hair is feeling thicker and healthier than ever. I feel so great now that I used the booking software to book an appointment with them and see them work wonders with my hair. They began using cutting edge products, like Olaplex, to prevent breakage and strengthen the hair shaft whilst lightening my hair. Coupled with some Davines shampoo and conditioner and Olaplex treatments, my hair has never felt better. Charlie also introduced me to this great technique called base breaking to lengthen the time in between colours, so as the roots grow out it looks far more natural. My mini depression over my hair has been lifted and I owe it all to The Nest Hair Boutique. Check them out, especially blondes as they specialise in blonde hair and will keep your colour vibrant and hair healthy at the same time.
When everything around you encourages you to step up your pace, it’s more important than ever to remind yourself to move at your own pace. Stay grounded and focused on caring for yourself, by only doing what you can. And know that what you do…is always enough. I feel so much peace wash over me simply when I say the words “I am enough”

This beach adventure was filled with rainbow orbs and incredible light. I felt so much like a child again. You know that abundantly joyful feeling of being ever present, simply shifting from moment to moment, following your excitement and zest for life. I want to bottle it up and have it with me everywhere I go. It’s freedom, it’s peace, it’s happiness…. Like Eleanora Duse said “If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive…”
