Winter Sun

August 11, 2014

It’s been almost 10 years living in WA now and I still can’t get over how absolutely amazing our winter’s are. When we first arrived from Melbourne on a freezing June winter’s day, we stepped off the plane to blue skies and t-shirt weather. It really was amazing! Though we have some pretty icy cold mornings we have so many beautiful clear days that make winter feel like the summer never really left. Always reminding us of the sweetness that awaits us.

Feeling blessed for the beautiful land we live in and the freedom to explore all the beauty of nature. Life is wonderful!

With love and gratitude,

Helen xx

Silk and Lace

August 8, 2014

Silk, lace, silk, lace….pretty much all I want in my wardrobe…..well except for a lot of jewels! Beautiful, delicate, feminine, detailed, textured, simply divine. For an edgier boho look I love to layer with some leather and serious hardware.

This beautiful beach day I had the works! Lace, silk and some serious jewellery overload – chunky labradorite and crystal quartz, and some heavy tribal jewels.

As always loving Myee Carlyle’s latest creations. Their crystal necklaces are next level. The attention to detail and quality of the crystals and leather used can be seen and felt. The silk they use to create their beautiful designs is lovingly hand dyed with plant extracts, providing you with an amazing piece of consciously made clothing.

Nothing quite like the feel of silk on your skin and sparkling light from crystal jewels that instantly remind you of the goddess that you are.

With love and gratitude,

Helen xx

Rugged Romance

August 7, 2014

Chunky knits, worn in denim, earthly treasures and a touch of lace. A little rugged romance for the blog today. It’s as though we are somewhere in between the cosy winter and the delicate renewal of spring. Icy mornings and 25 degree C sunny days definitely hint at the promise of spring.

We are now gearing up to move house tomorrow! I’ve fully surrendered to the chaos that is my life, floating along the rocky river with grace and presence as we transition into our new home….so excited! :) See you all on the other side :)

With love and gratitude, Helen xx

Make A Wish

August 5, 2014

That moment when the sun goes to sleep and the moon begins it’s rise…..that seems to linger on and holds that special kind of magic….where all dreams feel possible….those are the moments to count your blessings and make your wishes.

Every time I am lucky enough to witness the sun rise or set, I take a moment to give thanks, and to make a special wish. I figure if I’m lucky enough to be here, witnessing this glory, then I pretty much have all I need, then it’s time to wish for something amazing for all the beautiful souls of this earth. There is something so powerful about a prayer that comes from a place of fullness, of gratitude, of abundance. Next time you are lucky enough to witness nature’s beauty, take a moment to fill yourself with love, and then send that love out to all those who need it most. You will be overflowing with love and others will feel the blessing you have bestowed upon them.

This sunset really was extra special. There was that iridescent light again at the beach. The kind that seems to come right before each full moon. The sand glows and the water flashes it’s vibrant turquoise colour. I made lots of loving wishes on this day. And I’m sure all my beautiful Dogeared charms brought even more good luck vibes to my wishes.

Make a wish, or 2, or 100….take some time for ritual in your life, and share your love and light with the world.  Every little bit of loving helps to heal our world.

With love and gratitude,

Helen xx

Magali Pascal

August 2, 2014

I love discovering new labels…it’s one of the many benefits of being a style blogger. Magali Pascal is one of my absolute favourites. Their neutral tones, luxe fabrics, flattering cuts and designs, and effortless styles are right up my alley. They offer something for the everyday that will bring forth your inner goddess whilst running errands and day to day life…..and for those really extra special occasions, when you want that piece that fits to perfection and is unique, elegant and completely luxe. I’m so excited to share more of this divine label with you in the coming months as I prepare for my Bali holiday!

Hope you enjoy this outfit post that was just so much fun to create.

Lots of love and gratitude,

Helen xx

Blue Calm

July 29, 2014

An ocean of blue stretching as far as the eye can see…there’s simply nothing more relaxing for me. These photos are some of the few that were saved from my recent computer crash and I’m so happy that I’m able to share them with you. I just love all the blue and green tones…they make me feel so happy every time I look at them. I’m totally obsessed with this Karen Zambos top, which I think is the perfect tropical holiday top, and the shell details from This Little Gypsy Shop belt. And of course these incredible anklets from Grace Bijioux. I’ll be living in these in Bali :)

Maintaining a calm and strong centre is so essential to my well being. I practice this through breath and presence and it really helps me to navigate the busy ebbs and flows of my life. Today I’m feeling ever so grateful for those peaceful moments in life and every minute I get to spend by the beautiful blue ocean.

Love you all so much, Helen xx
