“Her soul sings with the rise and fall of the tides, guided by a love for the ocean and the beauty of nature. Happiest with sand between her toes and salt in her hair – on a search for that endless summer – a barefoot wanderer who sees beauty in the simple things and splurges on the finer things …” Suzie from Turquoise Lane – Read more HERE
This post is dedicated to one of my beautiful soul sistars. You know those people that instantly give you goosebumps when they chat about their passions….well this is one of those divine souls. Suzie, the amazing woman behind Turquoise Lane, has been such an inspiration to me lately, as I watch her follow her dreams with all her heart. To live your passion, regardless of any fear or doubt is courageous, and a gift to others who seek this path. It’s confirming and validating, a reminder that we all have the ability within us to create the dreams and life we want.
These photos were taken at the amazing Kubu beach, a private beach at Ayana Resort. We were lucky enough to experience this divine peaceful beach early in the morning while the beach was still closed. Not a soul in sight, this was probably the highlight of our entire Bali trip. We walked along the beach as though we were honeymooners once again. Bobby snapped away and I danced along the shoreline. We watched in awe as the light changed colours and the hazy morning mist dissipated to highlight the most beautiful turquoise water we’ve ever seen. It was the most romantic and magical moment ever!
Trust in life, follow your heart lovely souls, it will not lead you astray.
Sunset riverside walks with my beloved overlooking the city lights, amazing Mexican food at Guzman y Gomez, frozen margaritas, followed by some soy froyo and lots of sneaky kisses, marked the perfect spontaneous date night for me.
Being busy parents that run our own businesses makes date nights more important than ever. I’m so grateful for that special time for Bobby and I, to reminisce and create new magical memories together. And I LOVE any and every opportunity to dress up a little ;)
I love this little beachy bohochic outfit so much. It’s the little details for me that make it feel so special. The perfect cut ivory blazer from Myee Carlyle with it’s divine intricate embellishments. A simple Amilita cami trimmed with divine lace. My custom Wilde flower boots with all their amazing adornments. And then there’s the perfect accessory for the woman who loves a little sparkle and embellishment in her life – the hand woven Moroccan sequin basket by Ethi Collective.
If it’s time to add a little sparkle and embellishment to your outfit, check out my favourite picks below this post.
Who’s planning a Bali getaway soon!! I’m already dreaming of another ;) haha! I’ve been to Bali quite a number of times now since it’s only a 3 + a bit hour flight from Perth, and we are always trying to find that perfect space and location that really resonates with our aesthetic and laid back holiday style. We were lucky enough to stay at the beautiful Fraser Baye villas on this recent trip of ours and it was just divine. A fabulous luxe villa layout with privacy and all the essentials that you could possibly need to help you bliss out by the pool in the sunshine. Need a coconut drink, cocktail, some delicious authentic Indonesian food, banana pancakes, a babysitter, a driver or any information at all, you’ll have the most attentive staff on hand at Chloe’s kitchen pod to cater to your every whim. Feel like an incredible massage by the ocean at an amazing price point, then stroll on down to Micks place. Want to add to your rejuvenating holiday experience and get in a yoga sesh, eat some delicious organic food, and drink the best smoothies and juices ever, then less than a minute walk is the lovely Cashew tree. We even stepped out for lush cocktails at El Kabron beach club and had some incredible tapas as we watched the sun setting over the Indian ocean. Everything we needed was within walking distance, which meant no need to drive anywhere, and this in itself was just so wonderfully relaxing for us :)
The villa itself boasts an incredible luxe teak 4 poster king size bed overlooking the infinity pool and gardens. Though the outdoor stone bathroom is probably the most incredible part of this place. You have to see it for yourself to really take in all of it’s beauty.
Overall the laid back pace of Bingin, and being a short walk to the magical Indian ocean, sealed the deal as our favourite little nook on this magical island paradise. Bobby was so happy to be within walking distance of some of the best surf breaks in Bali. It was really more than just a beautiful place to stay for us….it brought with it a communal, local vibe that we had not experienced in Bali before.
Here are some of our pics from our amazing stay at Fraser Baye and the local places/beaches we visited while we were there. I miss you already Bali!

Imagine this….you’re perched over a cliff, high in the sky with the birds and quiet expanse. Your view – the divine turquoise Indian ocean, the horizon and sunset in the distance. A warm breeze gently caresses your skin, the tropical scent of frangipanis delight your senses. Overwhelmed by the atmosphere, you succumb to total serenity. No matter how busy your mind might be, this place is so special, so intoxicating in it’s beauty, you will be in complete awe. The perfect ceremonial location to share your love and vows with another. I feel very blessed to have been able to shoot in this sacred space at Ayana Resort and Spa. SKY by AYANA is my ideal destination location for a wedding. All those stunning white wash carvings and turquoise…..I’m even considering it for a renewal of my vows with my beloved husband! ;)
Here are some photos of this beautiful space wearing a divine Magali Pascal creation and stunning silver jewels by Anna Beck. Just reliving this experience through these photos has brought the feeling back to me and I’m so grateful for this experience and the vibrational footprint that will be with me forever.
Nothing beats getting off the plane and landing in warm sunny paradise to a relaxing spa day. Having travelled so much in my life and especially after having children, I plan the little details of my travel a lot more these days. I always leave a lot of space for spontaneity, though I’m so grateful to myself for the little plans I make well ahead of time….like this. Stepping off the plane and into the renowned Ayana aquatonic spa was the perfect post flight remedy. And a great way to really fast track yourself into an instant holiday vibe. I highly recommend it to those coming off long flights to Bali and really needing something to help kick the jet lag.
The water in the aquatonic pool is fed by the Indian ocean seawater, bringing with it all the healing properties of the ocean. Thalassotherapy actually means ‘Sea Healing.’ The warmth of the water and the hydro massage stations and jet streams, provide so many therapeutic benefits by boosting circulation and lymphatic drainage. I suggest lots of water afterwards to maintain good hydration, and give yourself the best cleansing start to your holiday…. and definitely head straight to your room for the most blissful sleep of your life!
Here are some pictures we took of our time in this incredible spa, our arrival to Ayana Resort and our amazing cliff front villa. The rest of the time we simply melted into a heavenly meditative state of bliss, rejuvenating our bodies and souls.
“There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.” Steve Maraboli
“Imperfections are not inadequacies; they are reminders that we’re all in this together.” Brene Brown
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson
“The more of me I be, the clearer I can see” Rachel Archelaus
Absolutely love these quotes from these divine intuitives. When I really need it most I draw upon daily inspiration by reading quotes from the above and my favourites like Rumi, Thich Nhat Hanh and Eckhart Tolle, and watching youtube videos and TED talks that inspire me and remind me of who I am. They bring me back to my heart space and that high resonance of love. This is where I want to be, and where I’m truly me.
Here are some of my all time favourite videos that bring me clarity and insight when I need it most and always make me feel wonderful -
I’m slightly obsessed with the sun and I feel as though I really need to soak it up like it’s water, essential in super huge doses for my well being. It’s an instinct for me to follow the sun and be outdoors whenever it’s shining it’s beautiful bright light. During the winter I simply can’t get enough. Lucky I live in the sunny state of Perth, where the sun greets us so often. I’m so energised by it’s healing rays. When I’m at the beach basking in it’s glory, it’s as though time stands still, and there is an abundant source of warmth, light and energy refuelling my body and soul.
It’s only one more day now and I’ll be visiting the beautiful Bali for some serious replenishment and sunshine. I’m beyond excited and grateful for this well timed, much needed trip into bliss. Stay tuned and keep your eyes peeled on my Insta for some very cool Bali posts coming over the next couple of weeks.
Loving the tribal vibes of this festival inspired outfit. Dripping in suede and fringe and cultural gems with a tonne of silver. This Lokoa poncho is just insanely soft and divine. I can’t get enough of it. It fits to perfection and I think it’s a definite must have wardrobe item for all those wild tribal boho goddesses out there. Throw in some flash tattoos and tribal jewels from the ever awesome Child of Wild and you’ve got yourself the look.
Feeling blessed that each day I have the chance to explore different styles and aspects of myself. This is my art. And I believe that as we dress each day we have the chance to create something magical, something enlivening, that represents the magnificence that we are.
